Silit® Electric Heating Elements
Kanthal Globar offers Silit® electric resistance heating elements constructed from
self-bonded silicon carbide (SiC), dense and fine-grained for excellent chemical resistance. By
application of a protective coating, the chemical resistance can be made even better.
Silit® heating elements are ideal for process temperatures up to 1600°C in oxidizing
atmospheres or inert gases. In process atmospheres or vacuum, the maximum possible furnace
temperature depends on the specific conditions of the application.
